India Gate

A monument to the negative.

Negative space...negative material...the negative aspects of society. Gates as symbols of power. An ostentatious display designed to be walked or driven through. Access. But for whom?

We peer up at gates, straining our eyes and necks to tops we will never reach.

My gateway is the denial of access: a humble reminder of what we try not to see.
